CALL for ART

THE ART OF MUSIC

Artists in North Richland Hills and the surrounding area are invited to submit work for an exciting exhibition to be presented before and during a September 29, 2022 concert by the Texas Guitar Society, which will be held at the Grand Hall at NRH Centre, 6000 Hawk Avenue, 76180. The artwork that will be exhibited for two hours that evening will become an intrinsic part of the guitar performance, representing the deep connection that visual art and music share. The artwork will be presented as a part of the performance and will be featured in a pre-concert reception from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

SUBMIT WORK BY EMAIL BETWEEN JUNE 15 & AUGUST 17, 2022

“The Art of Music” is a micro exhibition featuring works that will be limited to 10 selected artists. You are invited to submit one sample of your best work with a theme of music. All types of mediums will be considered, including paintings, drawings, photography, prints, fabric, and sculpture. Whether your work is abstract or figurative, we look forward to showcasing the best in our area’s area visual arts talent.

The ten artists selected for the show will have the opportunity to attend an artist’s reception on Thursday, September 29 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The reception will be followed immediately by a one-hour concert featuring three classical guitarists from the Texas Guitar Society.

Artists are encouraged to invite family and friends to the reception and concert, both of which are free and open to the public. The artwork will be displayed in the stage area and will be featured as a part of the musical performance that evening.

There is no fee to submit work for this exciting show and no commission will be taken by the gallery on any sales. The exhibition event will be fun and fast, and the art standards will be high.  Artists are invited to submit one work each for consideration – so send in your best!
