Shane Whitehead completed his Art Studies at the University of Northern Colorado, and now serves as Instructional Associate in the Department of Kinesiology at TCC Northeast. A sensei in martial arts, Shane seeks to blend the methods of Kempo and art by building upon a strong foundation and developing lifelong learning. His interest lies in the interconnectedness of art and martial arts, both disciplines having linear, circular, organic and structured elements. Shane's meticulously crafted bamboo carving has been displayed horizontally at Adventure World Boardwalk Trail due to placard sizing restrictions. On this webpage "Perseverance" is displayed vertically, as the artist originally intended it to hang.
