NRH Cultural Arts invites interested creatives to enter the first annual NRH “Wreaths Reimagined” Exhibition, which will run from November 20, 2023, through January 12, 2024, in the lobby of the Grand Hall at NRH Centre, 6000 Hawk Avenue.
NRH-area artists, designers, and creative individuals of all ages are encouraged to devise imaginative, handcrafted wreaths that celebrate the holiday season. Participants are encouraged to use inventive and unexpected materials, creating wreaths that will re-envision the traditional holiday decoration.
The wreaths selected for the exhibition will be constructed with unusual or unexpected materials (for example: caution tape, traffic light reflectors, safety pins, bath sponges, tools, plastic cups and recyclable materials) and will explore a wide range of themes, such as family history, volunteerism, our city, animal welfare, and other important subjects.
The Wreath Artists will be recognized at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 14 at the Sounds of the Season concert, featuring the Texas Guitar Society. The concert will take place at the Grand Hall at NRH Centre.
